THE WINE
A modern revival of a classic from our new estate vineyard plantings, this Chenin Blanc is a blend of two carefully selected clones. The grapes were destemmed and allowed brief skin contact before being pressed into a mix of cement eggs, stainless barrels, and small tanks. Fermentation took place with three distinct yeasts, each chosen for its unique aromatic contribution. Pale yellow in color, the wine opens with vibrant aromas of wet stone, green papaya, lemon curd, white florals, honey, Bartlett pear, and a hint of ginger. On the palate, it’s crisp yet creamy, with layers of lemon citrus, ripe pear, and floral honey leading into a long, mineral-driven finish.

A LEGACY ESTATE
Charles Krug Winery was established in 1861 as Napa Valley’s first tasting room and it changed the wine industry forever. Owned by the Mondavis since 1943, it remains one of Napa Valley’s longest standing, independent, and family-owned wineries. The Peter Mondavi Sr. family remains firmly committed to the legacy and future of this iconic estate.
